Following a recent announcement by the Australian Government to investigate the acquisition of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters from the US Government, Lockheed Martin Australia is looking to establish a core team of experienced military Rotary Wing professionals to support the potential procurement and sustainment activities. **Your responsibilities will include**:
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Engineering Authority**: Hold Design Engineer (DE) and/or Compliance Verification Engineer (CVE) Engineering Authority for the UH-60M Black Hawk, as delegated by the AASB.

**Engineering Reviews**: Conduct engineering reviews and approvals for projects in line with your authority delegations.

**Performance and Development**: Support LMA E&T Functional Managers/Leads with feedback on staff performance and recommendations for training and development.

**Team Leadership**: Mentor and guide team members on task execution and process implementation.

**Stakeholder Engagement**: Manage internal and external stakeholder input for project definition, planning, and delivery.

**Project and Task Management**: Support the planning, coordination, and delegation of tasks within the Platform Engineering Team. Monitor project and task performance against schedule and cost requirements.

**About you**:

- As the Deputy Platform Engineering Manager, you will be a key contributor to the UH-60M Engineering Team. This multi-disciplinary team includes ADF, APS, and LMA staff and is responsible for managing and delivering UH-60M Black Hawk engineering upgrades and capability improvements. Your role will involve supporting the ADF Platform Engineering Manager in supervising the Platform Engineering Team, providing continuity during absences, and ensuring effective tenure handovers.

**Communication Skills**:
Demonstrate superior communication abilities to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders both internally and externally.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aeronautical/Aerospace, Avionics, Electrical) from an accredited institution.
- Eligible for Chartered Professional Engineer status in relevant disciplines such as Systems Engineering, Leadership & Management, or Aeronautical Engineering.
- Eligible to receive Engineering Delegations within the DASR regulatory framework.

**Experience**:

- Extensive knowledge of Aviation regulations, including Defence Aviation Safety Regulations (DASR) Part 21 and Part M.
- Extensive experience with aircraft systems/subsystems, particularly rotary wing.
- Proven track record in Configuration Management and baselining of engineering artifacts.
