**Position Information**:
Lakemba Public School has an enrolment 405 students. Its rich and diverse community includes 98% of students who have English as an Additional Language or Dialect. The school’s cultural diversity is celebrated by students, staff and community.

**Selection Criteria**:
Approval to teach primary library or currently undertaking or currently enrolled in Teacher Librarian qualifications approved by the NSW Department of Education (Refer special notes below).

Demonstrated capacity to create enhance teaching and learning by creating a dynamic, innovative and student focused library learning space that not only inspires students but also teachers and the school community.

Proven expertise to deliver quality pedagogy that embeds information processing skills in collaboratively designed teaching and learning programs.

Highly developed communication, interpersonal and organisational skills with the capacity to work collaboratively and build positive relationships with the whole school community.

A willingness and enthusiasm to contribute to whole school culture and extra curricular programs.

If applicable engagement will be temporary until successful completion of the Teacher Librarian qualifications as recognised by the NSW Department of Education, which must be completed within 24 months.

This is a permanent part-time position for 4 days per week 0.8 FTE (Full-time equivalent).
