About The Role

We’re looking for a Shipping Officer who thrives on precision, teamwork, and getting things done You’ll join a tight-knit team where every voice is heard, and every effort counts. This role plays a crucial part in the efficient handling of bulk shipping activities and documentation for all export coal sales. The role is full time working 8.30am - 5pm, based in our Newcastle office.
What You’ll Do
Reporting to the Shipping Coordinator your role will consist of:

- Preparation and presentation of commercial invoices, export documentation and letters of credit in accordance to contractual terms.
- Liaising with international customers, banks and vessel agents with regard to cargo readiness and documentary requirements.
- Generating bills of lading and export shipment documentation with a focus on accuracy and timeliness.
- Generation, negotiation and settlement of laytime calculations.

What You’ll Bring
- Commerce / Business-related degree or a strong administrative background in logistics, purchasing or accounts
- An unmatched ability to provide attention to detail and accuracy when following processes
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with a range of different stakeholders including our global customers
- Intermediate level skills in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint);
- High levels of organisational, time management, and problem-solving skills;
