Gardener

LOOKING FOR FULL-TIME QUALIFIED GARDENER

This is a permanent full time position.

Duties & Tasks
- Soil cultivation, digging, forking, mulching, watering, raking, weeding, edging, pruning, bed preparation and planting.
- Plans lawns, and plants and cultivates them, using gardening implements and power-operated equipment.
- Plants new and repairs established lawns, using seed mixtures and fertilizers recommended for particular soil type and lawn location.
- Locates and plants shrubs, trees, and flowers selected by property owner or those recommended for particular landscape effect.
- Mows and trims lawns, using hand mower or power mower.
- Trims shrubs and cultivates gardens.
- Maintain high levels of presentation in public parks and gardens
- Cleans grounds, using rakes, brooms, and hose.
- Sprays trees and shrubs, and applies supplemental liquid and dry nutrients to lawn and trees.
- Dig trenches and install drain tiles.
- Keep the borders, thoroughfares and highway footpaths clear and free from litter at all times.

Essential requirements:

- Relevant qualifications;
- 2 years of experience in related area;
- Experience on all general gardening equipment+ light landscaping equipment
- Current and valid driver’s license (class C) - essential
- Able to manage 1-2 staff on any given day
- Time management and client relationship skills

Applicants with the following will be look upon favorably:

- Have a good knowledge of the Eastern Suburbs
- Strong Horticultural knowledge
- Presentable

Salary 55k to 70K per year plus superannuation

**Salary**: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Rockdale, NSW: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Gardening: 2 years (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
