Our company is an Australian finance, insurance, and banking corporation based in Brisbane, Queensland, Australia. It's one of Australia's largest financial services brands offering home and motor insurance, banking, life insurance and superannuation.

Your new role

The Data Governance Consultant will work with and educate business representatives to embed data governance roles and incorporate data governance activities in current business process and procedures.

In addition to that, this role will revolve working with technology staff, partners and contractors to ensure data governance requirements are adhered to as part of the development lifecycle.

What you'll need to succeed
- Tertiary qualifications in Information Technology and/or Business equivalent industry experience desired.
- Minimum experience in a data governance / business analyst role
- Exceptional analytical, problem solving and forward-thinking skills
- Knowledge and understanding of Security, Privacy and APRA legislation applicable to the finance industry
- Able to influence task / project direction by quantifying quality/risk to project/business context
- Ability to manage business stakeholder expectations
- Ability to coordinate and communicate effectively with all team members
- Understand the development lifecycles
