**Have you just graduated university and ready to kick start your career or are you looking for a**career change? Downer Rail & Transit Systems have an opportunity for a Purchasing Officer to be based at our Packenham facility, Nar Nar Goon VIC.**

**The role**:
We are looking for a motivated person to come join our highly skilled team and you will be based at our Packenham facility as a Purchasing officer. The role of Purchasing officer is responsible for performing purchasing and inventory activities covering a diverse range of goods and services across the TLS business in Victoria and NSW. The role will manage key relationships with facilities/operations and engineering in accordance with purchasing and procurement guidelines. In this busy and varied role, you will focus on maintaining the business objectives across your buying area of responsibility for assurance of supply, quality, service, cost and regulatory compliance, and ensuring that policies and processes are followed in relation to all purchasing activities (P2P process).

You will evaluate requests for purchases, quotations and ensure recommended vendors are used, process and workflow through to gain PO approvals. You will also be responsible for a range of other tasks including maintaining accurate master data and ensuring the systems are up to date reflecting accurate lead times, min/max levels, safety stock, delivery dates and vendor information.
