Little Chestnut Family Day Care Service is ready to provide early childhood educators with the opportunity and all the assistance needed to set up their own family day care at home and run their own business.

This job is a great choice for you if you:

- have a child or grandchild you would prefer to stay at home with while providing a social circle and a meaningful educational environment for him/her, all while generating income.
- intend to raise your child bilingually and/or support your community by providing care in your language.
- prefer to work independently, utilizing your creativity.

What This Job Offers:
Family day care educators have the flexibility to set their own hours and work from their own homes.

: Family day care educators can create their own educational plans and learning experiences for the children in their care. Little Chestnut Family Day Care Service provides maximum support and assistance for educators to do so.

: Family day care allows educators to provide individualized and personalized care to a small group of children. This setting fosters strong relationships with each child, creating a nurturing and supportive environment.

Little Chestnut Family Day Care Service offers opportunities for educators’ professional development, including ongoing training sessions and workshops to enhance their skills and knowledge in early childhood education.

Key Responsibilities:

- Plan and implement engaging educational activities that promote holistic development for children.
- Create a safe, warm, and welcoming environment that supports children’s social, emotional, and cognitive growth.
- Foster positive relationships with children, families, and the community.
- Observe and document children’s progress and development, providing regular feedback to families.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards in early childhood education.
- Collaborate with management and participate in professional development opportunities.

Qualifications and Requirements:

- Be over 18 years of age.
- Hold the minimum qualification: completed Certificate III in Early Childhood Education.
- Australian Business Number.
- Current Working with Children Check.
- Police Certificate (no more than 6 months old).
- Public Liability Insurance.
- First Aid Certification for an Education and Care Setting, including CPR (HLTAID004).
- Have a humble capital to purchase resources for setting up your house/unit.
- Have a responsible understanding of children’s development and capacity to learn.
- Able to work independently and use judgment to prioritize tasks.
- Effective written and oral communication skills.
- Able to cope with the physical demands of the job.
- Experience is preferred but not essential.
