About The Role*

We are seeking a Merchandise Team Lead to be part of the Australia and New Zealand Merchandising team. Reporting to DTC Merchandising Manager this newly created role will lead and mentor a team of Merchandisers and Allocators through the complete go-to-market process; from the initial line planning and forecasting to creating channel right assortments and strategic allocations to post season analysis. This role will also help elevate the retail merchandising ways of working and evolve the suite of retail tools.

What You Will Work On*
- Delivering brand and consumer right assortments
- Ensuring assortments come to life in store for our consumers
- Interpret trade reports and provide detailed analysis and action plans on a regular basis
- Product lifecycle management processes
- Cross functional alignment between sales, marketing, and retail operations
- Most importantly, this role will be asking “why” and looking for areas of opportunity for process improvements daily.

What You Bring*

Preference will be given to applicants who have:

- Tertiary qualification in Merchandising, Business, Marketing, or a related field
- 2 + years of related experience in buying, planning, or merchandising
- Previous exposure to the go-to-market process
- Solid understanding of retail trends of the footwear and apparel industry and competitive landscape
- Proficiency with retail math, and drawing insights from performance results
- Above average Excel and Power Point skills
- Previous experience with Ap21 ERP system

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Capable of working cross-functionally
- Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining attention to detail
- Strong organisational and planning skills, whilst being flexible enough to adapt to changes in plans.
