About the opportunity
An enthusiastic, motivated person is required to work as Medical Records Officer to ensure the accurate tracking, storage, recording, archiving and destruction of medical records and other clinical documentation.- Ensure the accurate tracking, storage, recording, archiving and destruction of medical records and other clinical documentation.- Responsible for the efficient operation of clerical support at Mercy Care Centre. This role provides support to other members of staff and actively participates key activities at Mercy Care Centre.- Provide customer service to clients, patients, visitors and colleagues.
- Undertake general administrative data entry to support the Mercy Care Centre.
- Assist in a variety of administrative duties and other duties as directed.

To thrive in this role, you will have:
- Qualification in Health Information Management or Clinical Information Systems or willingness to obtain same- Demonstrated high level computer literacy across all MS Office programs, high level data entry skills; previous use of iPM desirable- An ability to work as part of a busy multidisciplinary team, and to work independently with mínimal supervision- Demonstrated ability to maintain client confidentiality and demonstrate discretion- Excellent Communication and Interpersonal Skills- A flexible and approachable manner and a commitment to teamwork- Commitment to professional development
You will also be required to provide evidence of, or in the process of obtaining:
- A current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check.- Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders.
