The Cancer Institute NSW is the NSW Government’s cancer control agency, established to lessen the impact of cancer across the state.

**_ What you’ll be doing_**

The Reporting and Data Analyst produces datasets, analyses, charts and/or dashboards (reports) to support cancer research, and cancer-related health-system monitoring and performance reporting activities to inform decision making, and support achievement of NSW Cancer Plan objectives. They contribute to the development, implementation and maintenance of the Institutes’ data assets, reports and reporting systems.

**_Essential requirements_**
- Tertiary qualifications in health information, computer science, data science, statistics, information management or other relevant discipline.
- Demonstrated skills and experience managing, analysing, summarising and interpreting medium to large size complex data sets and the production of charts, tables, and dashboards.
- Strong skills and experience in R programming language.
- Experience in building Power BI dashboards.
- Basic skills in SQL and SAS will be considered an advantage.

**_ Pre-screening questions_**
- Please provide an example of a data analysis you have conducted where you identified a data quality issue. What steps did you take to investigate and clean the data, and what measures did you put in place following the finding of the data quality issue?
- Please provide an example where you turned data into actionable insights using modern data visualisation technology. Describe the end-to-end process you undertook to achieve this.
