Business Services provides a full range of class leading information technology, facilities management, finance, HR and health and safety services to all operating entities of the University.

Within Business Services IT, the Strategy, Innovation and Assurance (SIA) team provides leadership of cross-functional IT management across Business Services, and the University, ensuring ‘we do the right work’ through strategy and innovation and ‘do the work right’ through governance, organizational and operational model development and performance management. SIA is responsible for functions such as IT strategy, enterprise architecture, innovation incubation, governance, technology partner management, performance management and the definition of IT ways of working

**About the Role**
The purpose of the position is to lead the improvement and assurance oversight of the Testing & Quality Assurance (TQA) practice within Business Services IT (BSIT). You will lead the implementation of an endorsed Enterprise Testing Strategy, with associated roadmaps and initiatives (covering all relevant test types and methodologies including automation). You will also manage a small team of test automation specialists implementing the test automation aspects of the test strategy.

Daily responsibilities will see you:

- Implement the approved overarching Enterprise Testing Strategy, with associated roadmaps and implementation approaches.
- Lead the establishment and improvement of testing standards, frameworks and methodologies, processes, practices, guidelines, tools, and templates
- Monitor and report on the adherence to and compliance with established testing standards and framework
- Manage a team of specialist technical test resources in terms of their project and operational testing activities, and achievement of test strategy, test roadmap, and professional development priorities and objectives
- Lead the Business Services IT TQA Community of Practice (CoP)
- Lead the management of test related vendors and associated enterprise level contracts (includes vendors providing testing contractors and testing tools used across Business Services IT)

**About You**
You will be a highly motivated individual, with initiative, a professional approach and excellent communication skills. You'll demonstrate evidence of adaptive leadership approaches when collaborating with various teams and support a high performing culture and where customer focus and continuous improvement are the core values.

Ideally, you will also have:

- Tertiary/professional industry qualifications in Testing & Quality Assurance best practices with relevant IT experience, or an equivalent combination of relevant IT education/training and experience
- Be practised in developing and documenting processes and procedures (producing templates, process flows, visualizations, etc)
- Have a sound understanding of common IT management frameworks, methodologies, practices
- Knowledge and experience in ITSM, Agile, and DevOps methodologies
