**About the role**:
This Sydney-based Medical Research Institution is seeking a Research Manager to join senior leadership within a genomic research study team. This critical role will spearhead the development and execution of a robust strategy for the enrolment and recruitment of research participants that will make up the program's research cohort.

Reporting to the Program Lead, this research position will collaborate closely with senior team members overseeing community engagement and biosample management. The primary objective of this role is to orchestrate all facets and events related to recruiting the research cohorts and participants.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Provide authoritative and strategic support to the Program Lead, ensuring alignment with planning, decision-making, and program objectives
- Oversee and manage the execution of the research strategy, ensuring consistent operations and seamless coordination among teams while keeping abreast of research procedures and policies
- Establish, manage and oversee a population genomics research team, ensuring they are well-equipped, trained, and supported

**About You**:

- Experienced in the planning and coordination of recruiting research participants, in non-clinical settings and at a population level scale.
- Strong strategic vision in research planning: capable of mapping out long-term goals, complemented by a proven track record in translating strategic ideas into actionable plans and effectively implementing them in complex settings
- Demonstrated expertise in coordinating research participants and a proven ability to develop effective strategies
- Practical experience and knowledge of how to conduct research, research consent and ethical conduct in human research
