**The Opportunity**

We have an opportunity for a Monitoring and Evaluation Officer to be part of the Major Programs & Regions Division within the Department of Primary Industries and Regions.

The Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is part of the Recovery and Resilience Team, which is responsible for the development and implementation of a range of policies, agreements and programs to support primary producers and communities to recovery from and build resilience to adverse events, including natural disasters, drought, climate change and biosecurity outbreaks.

The primary purpose of the Monitoring and Evaluation Officer is to contribute to the effective monitoring, evaluation and reporting of PIRSA programs and projects through provision of professional and technical advice, ensuring that effective program and project monitoring and evaluation is in place. The position may contribute to other aspects of project and program design and delivery, while contributing to delivering agency priorities, including:

- Build partnerships with industry, stakeholders, research organisations and regional communities,
- Organisational performance as a modern, flexible and responsive organisation that values and develops its people,
- Growing regions by supporting key regional development drivers and growing opportunities available to our regional communities.

**Special Conditions**
- Successful applicant will be required to satisfactorily complete a National Police Check (NPC) prior to being made an offer of employment.
- Australian residency or current work permit is required (responsibility of applicant to provide evidence of a current work permit).
- 12-month Term Contract
- Full time opportunity, 37.5 hours per week

**Requirements**:

- Possession of a current driver’s licence and willingness to drive.
- Out of hours work and inter/intrastate travel may be required.
- You acknowledge your work, health and safety obligations and our expectations.
- The incumbent will be required to undertake emergency management training and must be willing to participate in emergency preparedness, response and recovery activities required by government agencies.

**Remuneration**

ASO5 - $85,790 min - $95,413 max per annum, plus superannuation
