**What is the role?**
The IT Development Manager leads Peregrine/OTR IT’s core development activities required to meet business needs, from design to ongoing support. They support the GM Information Systems in the overall activities of the Business Systems team. The IT Development Manager is responsible for the architecture, development, testing, deployment, integration, and defect resolution of all software whether internally developed or acquired.

**Key responsibilities include**:
- Participate in evolving the IT strategic plan, then on execution of plan
- Develop and manage the software development lifecycle for internally developed solutions
- Lead, coach and support our IT development teams across all platforms
- Ensure continuous training and development processes are in place to lift skills base
- Maintain and improve security related policies and procedures to protect business needs
- Develop our IT bench strength
- Contribute to the IT Leadership team
- Relevant qualification or at least 5 years’ experience can substitute for a qualification
- At least 2 years’ experience in IT Management
- 7+ years of software development, design or architectural experience
- Anticipates and reviews functional and business specifications from the business and defines detailed.NET technical specifications
- Expertise in implementing development best practices
- You have managed the software lifecycle from planning, through resource management, and eventual testing and delivery to production
- Able to determine coding and development standards for mobile and e-commerce
- Ability to develop software components that are factored into discrete modules that can be developed and deployed independently from each other
