The Role
An opportunity has become available for two Social Workers (Community Child Health) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12 000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast, and northern New South Wales region of Australia.
You will
- Efficiently and effectively manage a clinical caseload for clients that require social worker support within the Child Development Service
- Undertake key social worker clinical tasks including contributing to diagnostic multidisciplinary team assessments
- Promote the role of social work to effect optimal health outcomes for patients/consumers
- Provide clinical education and advice regarding routine and non-routine social work related topics

About you
**To be successful in this position you will require**:

- University level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW
- Eligibility for Membership to Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW)
- Blue Card
- Driver Licence
- Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
- Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
- Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
- Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)

Salary
- Permanent Part time and Temporary Part time (one permanent part time position 45.6 hours per fortnight and one temporary part time position, 60.8 hours per fortnight, up to January 2025 with the possibility of extension)
- Base salary ranging from $38.70 - $56.89 per hour

The Child Development Service (CDS) sits within the Community Child Health under the Division for Women, Newborn and Children at Gold Coast Hospital and Health Service. The Child Development Service (CDS) is a community-based, multidisciplinary health service involved in the assessment and management of children referred with concerns of development and or behaviour.
