**About the Role**
As **Catering Event Co-Ordinator** you will support the Venue Manager and Operations team in the day-to-day running of our two venues, located in the heart of the CBD. Our events delivery business is diverse and tailored to our clients - from corporate training to planning days, team-building events, exams and corporate cocktail parties.
This is a great ‘all-round’role - focusing on catering management, face-to-face client service and general venue presentation. You’ll be involved in multiple parts of our event delivery, so it’s important that you are able to prioritise immediate tasks and still plan ahead
Our Melbourne team is a tight
- knit crew who are hands-on, support each other and collaborate effectively to deliver remarkable events. This position is predominantly business hours, and requires flexibility for occasional weekend and evening service depending on business needs.
On a day-to-day level, you will:

- Schedule in-house and externally delivered catering, ensuring the highest level of quality and presentation
- Manage a high-volume front desk for multiple clients each day
- Meet & greet clients every morning, ensuring they have everything they need for their event and actioning any additional requests.
- Develop costed seasonal and varied menus with our suppliers ensuring all dietary requirements are met
- Actively support and direct the casual F & B team with daily catering services
- Support the Venue Manager with training and rostering of casual staff members
- Ensure the client break-out areas and rooms are well-presented from the start and throughout the day.
- Assist with general guest services and requests
- Update event details, input client data and process invoices accurately using our CRM

**About You**
In addition, you will:

- Have high level administration and organisational skills
- Have an excellent understanding of catering trends, dietary requirements, and food safety
- Be flexible and able to work calmly and effectively in a constantly changing environment
- Be proactive with solution focused problem-solving abilities
- Have a minimum intermediate skill level of MS Office
- Possess outstanding client service skills
- Have a team-first attitude

- Display strong communication and interpersonal skills
