Due to internal promotions, Michael Hill is looking for an energetic and career-focused Planner to join our Global Merchandising Team in Cannon Hill Brisbane.

The Planner role is a pivotal role, overseeing the planning function within a category, including leadership & mentorship of a planning assistant. This role will drive strategies that maximise sales & profit whilst simultaneously managing inventory health, data integrity and achieving closing inventory budgets.

They will also work closely and collaboratively with the Buyers and Planners within the team, following commercial frameworks that bring strategies to life and achieve set financial outcomes.

- Partnering with a Buyer to lead a category
- Reporting into a Senior Planner
- Provide leadership and guidance to a planning assistant to ensure overall achievement of KPIs and continued professional growth and development

**Within your category**:

- Develop category and product level sales, GP and inventory plans, including pre season strategy and budget setting and in-season re-forecasting
- Alongside Buyer, development of product assortment with a focus on customer centric ranging with high in-stock availability ranged to the right store tiers and within set options and budget
- Plan delivery & product phasing to ensure entry and exits are executed with space, inventory, realistic sell down plans and GP maximisation considerations
- Management of OTB including maintaining an accurate financial WSSI, quantifying and placing monthly core replenishment at product level, quarterly newness quantification, ensuring spend aligns with budget
- Drive enhanced reporting and analysis with a focus on attribute level learnings and actions. Lead pre, in & post-season reporting and analysis including weekly trade meetings, monthly commercial reviews and bi-annual post season reviews.
- Ensuring data accuracy at all times by taking proactive steps to understand the end to end systems, overseeing Planning Assistant schedule audits and conducting SKU maintenance and checks as required.
