YOUR NEW ROLE
As a vital member of the Senior Leadership team and reporting directly to the General Manager of Supply Chain, you'll take charge of leading our local and international quality team. Your mission will be to provide expert advice and establish robust product quality systems that guarantee the safety and reliability of all Fantastic Furniture products.
**RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Collaborate with the GM of Supply Chain and manufacturing to establish and implement a consistent, best-practice approach to quality throughout Fantastic Furniture.
- Partner closely with the buying team to ensure that our products, packaging, and overall customer experience meet and exceed established quality standards.
- Lead collaborative reviews of internal and external processes to drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Work alongside buyers and suppliers to identify cost-effective methods to minimize product returns and reduce the 'Cost of Quality.' Develop, implement, and maintain quality plans, systems, and procedures in alignment with Fantastic Furniture, regulatory, and customer standards.
- Initiate and support quality improvement initiatives in coordination with various teams within the company.
- Ensure suppliers, agents, and factories comply with Corporate and social responsibility and technical standards.
ABOUT YOU
Your background includes a solid understanding of Quality & Supply Chain (experience within the retail sector is a plus). You boast a track record of 5+ years in a similar role (industry-specific experience preferred). Knowledge of the furniture and homewares industry would be an advantage. You're skilled in delivering impactful presentations at the Board level, using tools like PowerPoint and Excel to convey key messages effectively. Experience with ISO 9001 is essential. You may also have experience with Six Sigma or Lean Sigma methodologies. You possess an end-to-end understanding of operations within a business. Your communication and negotiation skills are top-notch, facilitating effective engagement with stakeholders.
Strong analytical skills and meticulous attention to detail are second nature to you. You have the ability to influence and inspire others, ensuring successful outcomes. Proven expertise in executing action plans promptly and efficiently. Your background includes experience in managing teams effectively.
