**The Opportunity**

Due to continued growth, our client is looking for a motivated and driven Mechanical Fitter to join their dedicated workshop within their Tomago (NSW) based high-end facility. With in-house training on offer, the workshop team specialises in filtration, grinding mills, fixed plant and equipment inspections, maintenance, and repairs for filtration cells and thickeners.
- Build, overhaul, repair, and maintain screens, crushers, mining pumps, filtration, grinding mills, fixed plant and equipment, floatation cells, drive lines, gearboxes, and thickeners.
- Provide hands-on technical support and work unsupervised
- Read and interpret documents, such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, technical drawings, and procedure manuals.
- Ensure all workshop areas in the workshop are kept organised, clean, and safe

**About You**

Our client is looking for self-starters, hardworking and reliable individuals that enjoy a variety of jobs and tasks in their workday. With a strong mechanical aptitude and thorough understanding of the heavy industry along with demonstrated experience in Screens, Pumps, and/or Crushers.

Key Requirements:

- Tertiary Qualifications in Mechanical Fitting and/or similar qualifications and experience within a similar role are essential
- Valid Australian ‘C’ Class Drivers Licence, HRW Forklift (LF) and Dogging (DG) Licence is essential
- Demonstrated experience in mechanical overhauls and a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
- Previous experience with pumps, filtration, flotation cells, and fixed plant and equipment is desirable
- Previous experience in Hydraulics is desirable
- Strong time management skills, including the ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritise
