**1. Purpose of the Role (Multiple Positions)**

Responsible for conducting safe and efficient preventative maintenance and repairs on processing equipment and plant, along with operating the processing equipment to ensure a quality product is manufactured and loaded for distribution to Tyrecycle customers. Plant includes but is not limited to crushers, shredders, granulators and sorters.

**2. Reporting / Working Relationships**

Reports to: Plant Manager / Supervisor

Key Relationships: Plant Supervisor, Shift team members, Maintenance team, National Maintenance Planner

**3. Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- Foster and promote safe working behaviours and display a commitment to Tyrecycle safety standards and OHS requirements
- Compliance with Tyrecycle’s operating safety guidelines and training requirements
- Perform preventative and breakdown maintenance assigned tasks
- Sort tyres/recyclable materials according to prescribed criteria
- Operate forklift/bobcat/excavator to move materials for processing, sorting, storing and transporting
- Operate recycling processing equipment including but not limited to crushers, shredders, granulators and sorters to meet or exceed market requirements
- Unload materials from trucks
- Remove contamination from recyclable material
- Load materials into containers
- Maintain production standards
- Assist during installation of new equipment or additional equipment to current processes
- Clean plant equipment and work areas
- Perform other duties as per business requirements
- Maintain inventory records

**4. Skills / Experience**
- Fitter and turner trade certified or other relevant trade qualifications.
- Experience operating plant equipment
- Experience working with maintenance and repairs on fixed and mobile plant equipment.
- Possess a good mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to take responsibility and follow a preventative maintenance program.
- Understanding of safe work practices and manual handling
- Be motivated and enthusiastic with the ability to work as part of a team.
- Have a good work ethic and employment history.
- Physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting up to 20kgs.
- Understanding of safe work practices and manual handling

- Physically fit to handle repetitive heavy lifting.
- Be comfortable working at heights and/or confined spaces wearing the required safety PPE
- Be available to work additional shifts or overtime as required by the business.

**5. Licences / Certifications**
- Fitter and turner trade certified or other relevant trade qualifications.
- Forklift licence - essential
- Elevated Platform (Scissor Lift) and Boom Lift licence - desirable
- Bobcat certificate of competence - desirable
- Front end loader certificate of competence - desirable
- Successful completion of a pre-employment medical

**Salary**: $70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 10 hour shift
- 12 hour shift
