**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Accountable for the development and management of a Clinical Coding Quality Audit Program suitable to an Activity Based Funding (ABF) environment including an annual audit schedule and Coding Quality Plan, individual, departmental and targeted coding audits. Provision of audit feedback and education to relevant staff to ensure a high standard of coding accuracy, consistency and timeliness.
- Manage continuous improvement of processes including SCHHS Coder-Clinician Liaison program.
- Provide coding support and education to improve the quality of clinical documentation, as part of the SCHHS clinical documentation improvement program.
- Provide expert advice to management on key coding classification issues that impact on Activity Based Funding (ABF) and other areas including performance reporting and benchmarking initiatives related to coded data. Act as an expert professional resource for coding advice and expertise to all members of the SCHHS Executive and Clinical Coding Team.
