When a property is built or renovated, over time, its structure and the assets contained within it wear out - they depreciate in value. The Australian Tax Office (ATO) allows owners of rental properties to claim this depreciation as a tax deduction. This is where BMT comes in - we provide industry-leading depreciation reports for our investors to use at tax time.

We are currently seeking a Customer Sales Officer to join our Business Development team. An opportunity to make a positive impact on our clients’ lives through maximizing the tax deduction benefits on their investment property.

Day-to-day, you will be responsible for:

- Communicating the value and benefits associated with our tax depreciation reports to our clients and industry partners
- Assessing basic investment property information to determine if a depreciation report would be of benefit
- Providing quotes and converting them to sales
- Proactively seeking out new alliances and opportunities to generate new business

The team are a group of customer service specialists who genuinely enjoy what they do and work together to create the best outcome. It’s not your typical sales environment, at BMT our core value of “One Team” can be seen in practice every day.

We will provide all the training, support, and tools you need - you’ll be a depreciation expert in no time

**About you**

As a genuine people person, you enjoy building relationships and providing the highest level of customer service, making you a valuable asset to our team. You are someone who can work well autonomously as well as within a team, and you thrive on seeing results.

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have:

- Experience within a phone-based sales or customer service role
- A passion for exceeding customer expectations
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent time management
- Proficient in using computer systems and software
- Quick thinking and problem solving skills
- The ability to work towards key targets
- A positive attitude and motivation to learn
- An interest in developing a career and learning about the property industry through tax depreciation.
