**ABOUT THE ROLE**

As a **Retail / Hospitality Assistant**, you will be based at the Fleet Air Arm Museum (FAAM) at HMAS Albatross, Nowra Hill, New South Wales. The role is permanent working Tuesday to Saturday per week.

You will be paid under the Hospitality Industry General Award 2020 at an annual salary of $45,000, plus superannuation.

**In this role, you will be responsible for**:

- Managing the day to day operation of the store, including the casual staff members
- Maintaining good visual merchandising and store presentation
- Assisting with achieving store budgets
- Consistently creating excellent customer experiences
- Responding to customer queries, requests and concerns
- Making great coffee, and serving pre-made food products
- Managing the safety and hygiene of your work site and the food you are handling

As someone who can get in and get the job done, you enjoy working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. You are calm under pressure, yet also know how to have fun and enjoy the work you do.

**To succeed in this role you will need the following skills and attributes**:

- A passion for customer service and sales
- Experience with stock handling and merchandising
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Highly developed face to face customer service and communication skills
- Experience in the use of POS, EFTPOS and cash handling
- Reliability and ability to work well in a team environment as well as independently and remotely
- A high standard of grooming and presentation as this is a front of house role
- Ability to work weekends - mandatory
