This is your opportunity to join a giant in the food business, that are looking to add a Maintenance Manager, to head the charge of Maintenance Activities in one of their flagship manufacturing plants in Australia.

**Location**:Canberra

**Position**: Maintenance Manager

**Salary**:$130k-$150k+ Super

**General Job Description;**
- Developing & implementing maintenance procedures, plans, checklists & processes.
- Participate & Lead maintenance strategy development & continuous improvement of maintenance processes and systems.
- Collaborate with Management & Production on a daily basis to understand key issues, priorities and actions to identify opportunities.
- Monitoring & assigning resources as required to complete tasks on the Plant and Maintenance Work-in-Progress lists.
- Budget management & coordinating & managing contractors & overseeing site capital projects.
- Performance plans are in place, and KRAs are set on time and are of high quality with a clear understanding from employees.
- Prioritise maintenance & activities so that high-cost / high-impact problems are addressed first & achieve cost-effective maintenance outcomes.
- Manage the maintenance teams to ensure preventative maintenance tasks are scheduled & completed against completed tasks.
- Project reporting, and completion of capital tracking (GANT charts etc)

**What you will bring to the table;**
- Tertiary certification in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field from trade.
- Degrees in Project Management would be highly desired alongside the other qualifications.
- Expert knowledge of commercial high-speed baking equipment would be advantageous.
- Use and repair of facility and equipment electrical systems, mechanical systems, heating and air conditioning systems, boilers, overheads and structures.
- Understanding of baking ovens, conveying systems, robotics, PLCs, mixers, blenders, and packaging equipment.

**Essential Skills;**
- Strong understanding of Computerised Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
- Proactive in resolving engineering & management issues, by planning, organizing & implementing/identifying training in the Maintenance team.
- Outstanding leadership abilities & ability to successfully communicate across all mediums and engage people with different communication preferences.
- Strong communicator with a high level of computer literacy.
- High level of operational efficiency.
