Pastrycook

The Cake Kitchen, historically known as Joe’s Bakery in West Perth is currently seeking a passionate and skilled pastry cook to join our team.
- Prepare, bake, and present a range of pastries, cakes, tarts, breads, and other dessert items according to established recipes and seasonal menus
- Inspect workspaces and equipment before each shift to ensure all areas meet health, hygiene, and safety standards.
- Checking the quality of ingredients and measuring everything carefully before mixing.
- Prepare doughs and pastries through processes such as kneading, resting, shaping, and portioning according to recipe specifications.
- Create a variety of sweet and savoury pastry fillings, ensuring consistency and flavour balance.
- Oversee baking by monitoring oven performance and assessing the appearance of products to determine ideal baking time
- Manage and organise production flow including shaping, loading into ovens, baking, cooling, and removing finished goods from trays and moulds.
- Operate bakery machinery for dough rolling, shaping, cutting, and biscuit forming as required.
- Maintain baking tools and trays by cleaning, greasing, and storing them appropriately after use.
- Operate and maintain pastry kitchen equipment with care, reporting faults promptly.

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
