**About your new role**

We are seeking a Manager Risk & Insurance to join our team based in Sydney, Brisbane or Gold Coast. This role will involve supporting the General Manager Risk & Insurance to develop, implement and monitor compliance with high quality programs to allow for the effective management of The Star’s material risk exposures. You will support the achievement of the Star’s strategic goals by assisting with implementing an effective program of insurances to manage the Star’s insurable property and liability exposures. Participating in management committees, you will prepare reports to the Board Risk & Compliance Committee regarding the effectiveness of the Star’s risk management and insurance programs.

**To be successful in this role you will have**:

- Extensive experience in the design, implementation and monitoring of risk management programs in complex regulatory and business structure environments
- The ability to identify opportunities for improvements in risk management processes
- A proven track record of successfully developing effective relationships with key stakeholders
- The ability to use strategic thinking to challenge the status quo
- Effective oral and written communication skills
- A tertiary qualification in law, finance or similar is desirable
