Assistant Gardener

**Assistant Gardener (MR licence).**

One of our clients, a local council within the inner Western Suburbs near Footscray, is looking for 2 **Assistant Gardeners **to Join their Team.**

This Job is a casual role however will be for 38 hours per week, and could lead onto gaining a full-time contract.

Pay Rate: $31.82 Per Hour + Super.

Starting: ASAP.

**Aim**:
Assist the Parks and Gardens Team with the maintenance and gardening including watering, pruning, weeding, sweeping, mulching, fertilising, mowing, spraying and planting in accordance with work plans, occupational health and safety, and codes of practice. Operate Council plant which includes ride on mowers, trucks, manual and mechanical cutting tools, tractors and implements etc.

**You will require**:
White Card.

Current Valid Victorian **Drivers Licence - Medium Ridged (MR) is a must.**

**Traffic Control and Management Tickets** are also desirable.

Experience with** Horticulture Maintenance.**

Love the **outdoors and have an appropriate level of physically fitness**.

Ability to Comply **with Safe Manual Handling Techniques and OH+S Standards**.

Ability to work in a **Team Environment.**

Great Verbal **Communication Skills.**

Ability to use hand tools.

Please Note - a Police Check, WWCC and Covid Vaccination status will all need to be obtained upon placement.
