**Job Summary**:
24/7 care with shifts running
- 8am-4pm
- 9:30am-2:30pm
- 4pm-8am

- Knowledge of social care practices and procedures
- Ability to adapt activities to clients preferences and physical abilities, incorporating sensory and heavy work activities
- Creativity in developing engaging tasks that align with clients interests
- Strong observational skills to recognise and respond to changes in clients mood or behaviour
**Responsibilities**:
- Provide support during community activities to ensure safety, particularly in regards to epilepsy
- Assist with personal care tasks, medication management, and continence needs, including prompting for toilet use
- Engage in meaningful, age-appropriate activities that resonate with clients background and interests
- Help to implement sensory strategies to manage behaviours of concern and promote positive communication
- Provide emotional support and assistance to individuals in needs
- Assist with daily living activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication management
- Encouragement during mealtimes to eat at a slower pace and assist with household tasks to foster a sense of purpose
- Use key sign words and effective communication strategies to support clients understanding and engagement
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of client progress and services provided
**Qualifications**:
- Experience in support work or a related field, particularly with clients with autism or acquired brain injuries.
- Certificate III or IV in Disability Services or equivalent qualification
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid driver's license
- Current NDIS worker screening check
- Current Working with Children check
- Strong understanding of ethical guidelines for working with vulnerable populations
**Job Type**: Casual
Pay: $35.00 - $41.74 per hour
Expected hours: 8 - 38 per week

- Evening shift
- Morning shift
- Night shift
- On call
- Public holidays
- Shift work
- Weekend availability
Supplementary Pay:
