**The Opportunity**:
Based in the Hunter Region of NSW this role sits with a successful business operating a substantial portfolio of production sites in the mining sector. This role would require someone who is flexible and willing to relocate close to the operation (if you don't live in the Hunter areas already) as FIFO is not an option. Relocation will be covered at the cost of the employer.

Salary circa. $180,000 - $200,000 + Incentives

Prior experience in the mining sector is essential

Relocation (if required) is covered by the employer

**Role Outline**:
Reporting to and working closely with the Senior R&C Manager, you will work across a portfolio of sites and play a pivotal role in developing risk frameworks and executing risk strategy. Among other things, your duties will include:
Oversight and governance of risk management frameworks, procedures and standards;
Coordinate compliance requirements across various sites and contribute to the group annual action plan;
Drive risk & compliance assessments, maintain a comprehensive risk register and facilitate risk and compliance workshops;
Liaise with internal audit team on providing insights into the risk and compliance landscape within the business; and

Work to identify and implement efficiencies across risk and compliance processes with a view to continuous improvement and automation where possible.

**Successful Profile**:
Demonstrating a clear experience in each of the responsibilities above, you will have a strong understanding of risk management practices and experience in contributing to a successful and mature risk and compliance function;
Experience in the mining sector, preferably with a focus on production sites, is essential to being successful in securing this role;
You will be a confident communicator who enjoys building relationships at all levels and possess strong stakeholder management skills;
Your natural position will be to question the integrity of processes, procedures, and reports - no brainer; it's a risk role; and

Your experience will have developed strong gut-instincts, things that don't look and feel right, often aren't - but the ability to identify that naturally is what we're after here.
