Here at Nelson Alexander, we are seeking a Department Manager in Rentals, who brings a wealth of property and people management experience to oversee our Pascoe Vale office.
**The Brief**:
- Lead and drive forward a Property Management team of 4-5 people, from Property Managers, Rental admin, Leasing and Reception
- Ensure strong relationships between team members, tenants, owners, and stakeholders.
- Monitor department processes to ensure optimal service deliverables.
- Grow existing processes and procedures to reduce agency and personnel risk.
- Conduct regular meetings with team members, including one-on-ones and weekly team meetings.
- Embrace innovation.
- Ensure databases are being used effectively to the benefit of the agency and clients.
- Work alongside team members to strengthen their skills and conduct ongoing training.
- Stay current on industry legislation.
- Ensure impeccable client service is upheld.
**What we need from you**:
- Demonstrated leadership and management is ideal however we are happy to work with an experienced Senior Property Manager who is ready for their next step up
- Exceptional communication, flexibility, and resilience.
- Extensive Property Management experience and legislative understanding.
- Strong administration & exceptional customer service skills.
- Highly approachable and dependable.
- The capability of thinking on your feet and adapting to fluid daily circumstances.
- Confidence with technology.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- A talent for developing strong relationships with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- An understanding that the nature of this role requires a commitment to face-to-face team support and direction during business opening hours.
**Desired qualification and experience**:
- Approx. 5+ years experience in a senior property management role (i.e. Team Leader and up).
- Experience in team management of approx. 5 or more staff members and human resources practices including performance management.
- Agents Rep or Estate Agents license
- Reliable motor vehicle
