**Position Information**:
The NSW Department of Education provides, funds and regulates education services for NSW students from early childhood to secondary school, delivering world-class education through its public schools and providing funding support to non-government schools. **About the Role**

The Community Liaison Officer supports schools in building vibrant, tolerant and harmonious school communities. The Community Liaison Officer works to support school communities in the development of approaches to improve social, emotional, health and educational outcomes for students.

Morisset High School is located in Lake Macquarie on Awabakal country. Morisset High School has an enrolment of 700 students (FOEI 131). The enrolment includes 25% Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, who are well supported by Itji-Marru Aboriginal Resource Centre which was established in 1992. There are nine Special Education Support classes, and four Big Picture classes in the Morisset High School Big Picture Academy. Morisset High School also offers a broad range of curriculum opportunities, school-based VET options include; Primary Industries (Agriculture), Retail, Business Services, Sports Coaching, Hospitality (Kitchen Operations/Food and Beverages), Construction Pathways, Manufacturing and Engineering.
