**Principal Advisor (Finance) - Key Accountabilities**:
**The core capability requirements for this role are**:
- Manage the RSCO's financial services function including the delivery of financial planning and budgets, business analysis and the implementation of financial management standards and practices
- Provide advice to senior management in relation to financial practices, public sector financial reforms, service improvements and innovations.
- Research matters to prepare quality reports, submissions, correspondence, and briefing notes for management on financial management issues and impacts.
- Contribute to a range of diverse activities and projects to provide advice on policies and processes concerning capital expenditure and recurrent funding, planning, forecasting and budget preparation and management
- Develop and manage the asset replacement schedule, the capital expenditure approval policy and procedures and oversee the management of the asset register.
- Build and maintain networks with internal and external stakeholders and represent the Road Safety Camera Office at interagency forums.
- Supervise, appraise and monitor the performance of staff and foster a culture of professional development.
