At Croydon North Kindergarten, we aim to provide a warm and welcoming environment in which children feel worthwhile, valued and safe to explore and make sense of their world. **Description**
- Croydon North Kindergarten is currently seeking an Early Childhood Educator for our 4-Year-Old Red group kindergarten program (commencing for Term 1, 2025)
- Children attend Tuesday 8am - 4pm and Friday 8am - 3pm during school terms.
The successful applicant will work Tuesday 7.30pm - 4.30pm and Friday 7.30am - 3.30pm (planning time TBC)
Monthly Team meetings are also a requirement. There may also be hours available to cover lunch breaks, planning or other activities.
POSITION OBJECTIVE Demonstrate knowledge and experience of working in an early childhood service. Assist with the development and provision of a quality, developmentally appropriate program for the children.Work cooperatively as a member of a team to provide a developmentally appropriate program.Operate in a professional manner at all times and ensure that the service meets the requirements of theEducation and Care Services National Law Act 2010 (National Law), Education and Care Services National Regulations 2011 (Regulations), relevant curriculum framework, Quality Improvement Plan and policies and procedures of the service.Understanding and knowledge of Child Safe Standards and Child ProtectionGenuine enthusiasm, initiative and professionalism**Qualifications**
Essential requirementsHold an approved Certificate III qualification or Diploma of Children’s Services (or equivalent as approved by the Australian Children’s Education and Care Quality Authority - ACECQA)Hold a current Working with Children CheckHold and maintain an approved: Police check, First Aid, Anaphylaxis, Asthma and child protection training. In accordance with the Education and Care Services National Regulations and service policies.
