**Position Objective**

The primary objective of the position is provide assistance and excellent customer service to the Clark Rubber customers and other retail initiatives

**Key Responsibilities & Duties**

Some of the key responsibilities and duties include, but are not limited to:

- Greeting customers who enter the shop.
- Be involved in stock control and management.
- Assisting customers to find the goods and products they are looking for.
- Being responsible for processing cash and card payments. (cash handling and register operation)
- Stocking shelves with merchandise.
- Answering queries from customers.
- Reporting discrepancies and problems to the management team.
- Giving advice and guidance on product selection to customers.
- Start and End of day register balancing/counting.
- Dealing with customer refunds.
- Keeping the store tidy and clean, this includes merchandising/cleaning.
- Responsible dealing with customer complaints.
- Water Testing for customers
- Placing shelf edge labelling and ticketing to merchandise on the shop floor.
- Responsible for security within the store and being on the look out for shoplifters and fraudulent credit cards etc.
- Receiving and storing the delivery of large amounts of stock
- Keeping up to date with special promotions and putting up displays/merchandising.
- Other tasks and duties as directed

**Skills and Experience**
- Having a friendly and engaging personality.
- Comfortable working with members of the public.
- Should have a confident manner.
- Must be helpful and polite.
- Assistants should be physically fit as they will be on their feet for most of the day and may be required to lift large amounts of stock.
- Ideally an understanding and experience of sales i.e. retail, merchandising, customer service with knowledge of Swimming Pools highly regarded.
- Able to work as part of a sales team.
- Should be of a smart appearance and articulate.

Able to work weekends would be an advantage.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $21.41 - $30.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Morning shift
- Weekend availability

**Experience**:

- Customer service: 1 year (preferred)
- Retail sales: 1 year (preferred)
