Executive Manager Compliance, Responsible Lending

**How will I help?**
The role is responsible for providing second line compliance support to the Lines of Business, Consumer and Business Banking Division in Westpac, which provide lending to consumers which is regulated under the National Credit Code.
Work collaboratively and in support of the Head of Compliance, Mortgages, Consumer Finance, Responsible Lending & General insurance:
- Provide expert advisory 2 nd Line compliance support and effective oversight and challenge to the Line of Business which provide lending to consumers which is regulated under the National Credit Code.
- Frame a business aligned agenda to support business strategic goals and initiatives whilst ensuring effective governance and risk and compliance management in relation to Responsible Lending.
- Support the LOBs which provide consumer lending regulated under the National Credit Code to resolve critical compliance business issues and develop appropriate solutions while adopting a continuous improvement approach in looking for ways to do things better to enhance overall efficiency and support to the business.
- Maintain a detailed understanding Responsible Lending specific compliance issues and incidents, particularly National Consumer Credit Protection Act compliance; support identification, escalation and remediation of significant issues, and complete compliance assessments and breach determinations in respect of Responsible Lending incidents
- Work closely within the Consumer & Business Banking Compliance Leadership to develop a proactive compliance management agenda and ensure to ensure there are no gaps in coverage in respect to the Mortgages LOB.
- Forge effective relationships relating to specific the LOBs which provide consumer lending regulated under the National Credit Code with regard to: Supporting regulator interactions, including ASIC and on AFCA matters

**What do I need?**
- 15+ years’ experience in large corporations or professional firms
- Industry-leading expertise in Responsible Lending
- Experience and understanding of consumer lending products, the competitive environment and the industry
- Demonstrated experience in managing key stakeholder relationships at a senior level both internally and externally
- Knowledge of relevant legal and regulatory environments and experience in managing implications in consumer banks
- Ability to adapt to rapid digitisation and technology change in financial services and or Australian consumer financial product and services.
- Experience in driving and managing strategic projects and programs of work
- Comprehensive knowledge of compliance developments to identify emerging risks that may affect the business today or in the future
- Working with complexity and ambiguity and managing through complex organisation and managing divergent drivers and objectives to produce optimal overall Group outcomes
- Degree qualified, minimum of a Bachelor degree
