**Your new role**

The Payroll Officer is responsible for the day-to-day payroll function for approx. 100 -150+ employees.

**Key accountabilities**:

- Accurate and timely processing of fortnightly payroll
- Ownership of the payroll function.
- Responding to the queries from internal parties regarding payroll matters, including employees.
- Superannuation reconciliation and payment processing to relevant funds.
- Leave accrual reconciliation and maintenance.
- Monthly reconciliation of payroll and payroll on costs to the general ledger.
- Drafting employee letters of offer (as directed by Management).
- On-boarding and/or Termination of employees in the payroll system
- Monthly reporting and rostering analysis for Management.
- Processing of Worker's Compensation claims.

**What you'll need to succeed**

**Essential experience**
- Minimum experience 1-2 years in a similar capacity.
- Experience interpreting industry awards.
- Certificate IV or above in a Business Administration or Payroll Discipline.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Time-management skills, and the capability to prioritise tasks effectively.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
- Proven attention for both accuracy and detail.
- Experience processing payroll via Sage.
- Intermediate to Advance MS Office skills.
- A current and valid Driving Licence (limited access to public transport).
- A valid Working with Children Check and Police Checks
