**The YMCA Vocational School** is a Special Assistance School and offers courses assisting disengaged students in having a "Real Opportunity" to achieve their full potential through positive educational studies, activities and outcomes.

We are recruiting a** School Administrator **to commence at our **YMCA Vocational School: Brisbane South Junior Campus **which is located in** Acacia Ridge, QLD. **This position is for a** 12-month fixed-term, full time basis.
**ABOUT THE POSITION**

Working as part of the YMCA Vocational School staff team, you will be responsible for the reception and administrative functions of the YMCA Vocational School. You will be the face of the YMCA Vocational School and will be required to communicate professionally and effectively with students, their parents/carers and all other YMCA Vocational School staff.

The responsibilities of a** School Administrator** will include, however are not limited to:

- Provide administrative assistance and executive support to the Business Services Manager and Head of School
- Maintain accurate student files and office records, assist with data collection and WH&S tasks
- General reception duties, including answering enquires and scheduling meetings
- Basic accounting and reporting duties.

**ABOUT YOU**

In addition, you will be able to meet the following **key selection criteria. **Please address each of the key criteria in your cover letter:

- Minimum education level of certificate III in Business or equivalent, coupled with experience in a similar role;
- Be able to work with mínimal supervision and be able to demonstrate a pro-active approach to supporting marginalised young people and their families;
- Attention to detail and exceptional organisational skills including an ability to quickly respond to changing priorities;
- Have the ability to work successfully in a small team;
- Intermediate Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Experience working in the education industry is an advantage.
- Your passion for ensuring the wellbeing of young people will be matched by your enthusiasm and drive to provide successful outcomes.
