Full time permanent Accounts Receivable role with opportunity to work from home 2 days per week

**Your new company**

A successful and well known organisation in the retail industry, with international exposure, based in Sydney's inner city suburbs are seeking an experienced Accounts Receivable Officer to join their finance team.

**Your new role**
- Generate and send accurate and timely customer invoices.
- Conduct regular follow-ups with customers to ensure timely payment and resolve any payment discrepancies.
- Handle customer inquiries related to billing and outstanding balances.
- Monitor customer accounts for delinquencies and initiate appropriate actions.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, such as sales and customer service, to address customer concerns and resolve billing issues.
- Perform account reconciliations and maintain accurate records of customer transactions.
- Prepare financial reports, including ageing analysis and collection forecasts.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities related to accounts receivable.

**What you'll need to succeed**
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven work experience as an Accounts Receivable Officer or in a similar role within the retail industry.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and practices.
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks.
- Familiarity with relevant laws, regulations, and best practices in accounts receivable management.
