Engage Abilities is a registered service provider of the NDIS as well as a service provider for the Department of Communities and Justice through the Casework Support Scheme (CSS).

We are currently recruiting **4 Youth Workers on a casual basis to cover shifts in the Western Sydney area.**

**Your responsibilities**:

- As a Youth Worker, you support children and young people who may have significant challenges and complex trauma.
- The shifts consist of supervising contact visits, in home supports, respite, transports and mentoring supports working with children and their families around the Blacktown area.
- Your priority is to keep children and teenagers safe, ensure their needs are met and aid them in their development and implement goal focussed supports to ensure that the support you are providing is in line with the goals for the young person or the family.
- The successful applicants will be required to work in accordance with our code of conduct, relevant procedures and our policies.

**Selection criteria**:

- 2 years’ experience working with youth (paid youth worker, teacher, child care educator, disability support worker, mentor, sports coach...)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills along side computing skills.
- Ability to build strong and trusting rapport with children and young people.
- Able to proactively assess risks and solve problems.
- Excellent professional boundaries.
- Be a positive role model.
- A passion for the NDIS and Child Protection sector.
- Resilient and flexible in your approach.
- Ability to work in high stress situations.
- Ability to work within a team environment and independently.
- A driver’s license with full comprehensive car insurance is required.

**Job Type**: Casual

**Salary**: $39.27 per hour
