Lead Floral Designer

The Lead Floral Designer is responsible for creating, executing, and overseeing the design of floral arrangements for events, retail, or corporate clients. The Lead Floral Designer plays a key role in client consultations, translating their vision into beautiful and personalized floral creations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Floral Design**:

- Conceptualize and design unique floral arrangements for weddings, events, corporate functions, and retail clients.
- Ensure that designs align with current trends, client preferences, and seasonal availability.
- Maintain high standards of creativity, craftsmanship, and quality in all floral arrangements.
- **Client Interaction**:

- Conduct consultations with clients to determine their floral needs and preferences.
- Provide expert advice on flower selection, arrangement styles, and event themes.
- Create mood boards, proposals, and sample arrangements as needed to secure client approval.
- **Team Leadership**:

- Mentor a team of floral designers, providing guidance and support.
- Delegate design tasks and ensure timely completion of floral orders and event installations.
- Train junior staff in floral techniques, design trends, and best practices.
- **Inventory and Supply Management**:

- Source and purchase flowers, greenery, and other materials from suppliers.
- Monitor inventory levels and ensure fresh stock is available for upcoming projects.
- Manage budgets for materials and labor, ensuring cost-effective design practices.
- **Event Coordination and Execution**:

- Plan and oversee the setup and breakdown of floral displays at events.
- Collaborate with event planners, venue managers, and other vendors to ensure seamless execution.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during the installation or design process.

**Skills and Qualifications**:

- **Experience**:

- Proven experience as a floral designer, preferably in a leadership role (3-5+ years).
- Strong portfolio showcasing a wide range of floral styles and designs.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in floral design techniques and knowledge of flower types, seasons, and care.
- Ability to create both traditional and contemporary designs.
- **Creative and Artistic Ability**:

- Excellent sense of color, design, and composition.
- Ability to adapt to varying client preferences and event themes.

- Strong leadership skills with experience managing a team.
