**THE ROLE**

Tenancy and Property Officers play a vital role in supporting the delivery of client-centered services to individuals and families who seek housing assistance or reside in public housing. Tenancy and Property Officers are part of a network of community workers and organisations that share the responsibility for working with vulnerable people to promote and support their wellbeing. Based in offices across the state, the role undertakes a range of tasks relating to tenancy and property management and the provision of housing advice and assistance.

**ACCOUNTABILITIES INCLUDE**
- Assess client's needs and provide advice on housing options from a range of established policy, procedures and standards.
- Prepare routine cases with well established procedures and represent the Department at Victorian Civil Administrative Tribunal (VCAT).
