**The Opportunity**:
We have a high performing and collaborative Planning team, and this role reports into the G Director of Community Planning. As an Associate Director in the Social Assessment and Performance stream, you will have a deep understanding of the social challenges and opportunities facing communities across Queensland and NSW,
You'll play a key role in driving strategic ideas for the company and have the autonomy to shape the role accordingly.
**You will**:
- Undertaking advanced social research and analysis, including of demographic data, social policy, community engagement outcomes and best practice trends in social infrastructure
- Providing practical advice and strategic input to partners and clients on a wide range of social matters
- Demonstrating excellent written and verbal communication skills for a variety of audiences and in a range of formats
- Supporting Directors to achieve Community Planning, Urbis ‘whole-of-office' business plan outcomes
- Proactively identifying opportunities to engage and work collaboratively with colleagues from other disciplines and Business Units across the broader firm
- Generating new work and sustained and profitable business performance, through the maintenance of, and building upon, existing and potential client relationships and professional networks

**About You**:
You will be able to demonstrate significant experience in one or more of the following areas:
- Social assessment, such as social impact and benefits assessment, social performance and management, community needs analysis, and developer contributions advice
- Social strategy, such as social investing, community facilities strategies, social infrastructure planning, social services reviews, and change management to support social outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience in social or strategic planning in a consultancy
- Proven track record of identifying and winning new business
- Ability to manage and develop team members.
Must have
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant social science discipline (e.g., sociology, human geography, anthropology, social or community planning); and/or
