About Us:
Every Made in the Shade venue or product is born out of a desire to break new ground in Australia's hospitality scene and redefine standards of service.
Our motto is 'People before Drinks', this means consistent service across all Made in the Shade venues for every guest, seven days a week. We are passionate about hospitality and dedicated to delivering every product and experience with authenticity and unwavering attention to detail.
Connie’s Italian Diner is a part of The Made in The Shade Group that unites venues and services owned and operated by Michael and Zara Madrusan: The Everleigh, Heartbreaker, Connie's Pizza, Navy Strength Ice Co., The Everleigh Bottling Co., and Bar Margaux.
We are a team of creative individuals, focused on every detail: lights, glassware, tablecloths, cutlery, service style, music and all the touchpoints that create an unforgettable experience. About the Role:
This is a trip back in time, a remembrance of things past when life was simpler and carefree. A little bit of New York and a whole lot of reminiscence.
Connie’s menu has evolved beyond the famous pizzas she’s been known for, into a full Italian Diner that's big on fun serving up a selection of small and large share plates, pastas, sides, desserts and of course, pizza. It’s a great time that’s all about nostalgia. Want to join the famiglia?
We are looking for front of house staff. Experience is preferred however, we will teach you the skills if you love hospitality, looking after people and want to work in a great environment. As a part of our fresh and new team, you will be creating lasting and nostalgic feel-good memories for our guests. Think checked table cloths, Italian Spaghetti Westerns, and the hustle and bustle of a New York Italian Diner.
The role will be supported by Made in the Shade's dynamic internal training program.
Operating hours are Tuesday to Saturday for dinner, and lunch will be held on the leafy terrazza throughout the weekend in Summer.
About You:
- Passonate about the industry and brilliant at giving people a good time
- Good communication skills and able to follow direction
- A love of learning and the ability to have fun at work
