The role
Be a part of a dedicated, innovative team and build your career as a business development professional. As a Clients & Markets Adviser for our market-leading teams, you will become a key part of delivering on client and market goals.
You will be someone who is looking to build your BD skillset and enjoys working with a variety of people across the business. You will naturally challenge the status quo and bring fresh ideas and energy to your work in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities
As part of a national team, you will help to develop and implement client-focused and market-focused strategies to achieve the firm's objectives.
You will be involved with:
- Researching general market, industries, competitors, and prospective clients to support various business development initiatives- Supporting client communications and thought leadership opportunities, including developing knowledge of emerging areas- Working with colleagues across the business on key client accounts, pursuits and cross-practice group initiatives- Working with the team to implement business plans and the firm's client experience strategy- Developing and drafting tenders and proposals, capability statements, practice profile submissions, and lawyer profiles- Coordinating input into legal directories and industry publications and updating Clients & Markets tools and databases- Developing a profile and credibility with internal stakeholders, including actively promoting the Clients & Markets department, its expertise and capabilities.
Skills & Experience
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A pragmatic style and positive approach to your work- Excellent stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence- Agility and proactivity, be a collaborator - able to connect the dots- Curiosity and intellect - an ability to ask the right questions- Business acumen - understanding drivers of the business- Ability to build rapport and relationships, with a good consulting style- Clear and concise communication skills - both written and verbal.
In addition to this, we're looking for a resilient self-starter. Someone who is able to work autonomously, has attention to detail, and creates excellent experiences for clients and stakeholders.
The Clients & Markets team
The Clients & Markets team is responsible for providing services and advice on client relationship management, practice and sector initiatives, market and industry analysis, client relationship marketing, branding and design, media and corporate affairs, legal communications and tenders.
