Discover and Learn Academy is a brand-new service that has recently opened in Tanilba Bay and we are seeking a passionate and dedicated educator to join our team.

As an educator, you will be responsible for planning and implementing educational programs that promote children's physical, social, emotional and intellectual development. You will work collaboratively with other educators to create a safe and nurturing learning environment for children aged 0-6 years. Your passion and enthusiasm will see you work closely with the Director and other staff effectively engaging with families and children to implement the educational program for children.

You will have extensive knowledge of the EYLF, an understanding of the NQF/NQS and work in compliance with all regulations to meet the high standards.

**Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to lead a classroom environment
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to build positive relationships with children, families and colleagues
- Understanding of the National Quality Framework (NQF) and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF)
- Creativity in developing engaging educational programs
- Time management skills to meet deadlines

**Responsibilities**:

- Plan, implement and evaluate educational programs that align with the EYLF and NQF standards
- Develop positive relationships with families through open communication about their child's progress
- Maintain accurate records of each child's development using our online platform
- Work collaboratively with other educators to ensure consistency across all rooms within the centre
- Maintain a safe learning environment by following health & safety procedures

**Qualifications**:

- An approved qualification in early childhood education
- Working with children check
- Provide First Aid in an education and Care Setting

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 - $39.00 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 15 per week
