About Sandgate State School
Sandgate State School is located in the Metropolitan Region and is a member of the Bramble Bay cluster of schools.
As a kind, safe and inclusive school we take great pride in our location and environment as we are situated on the beautiful Moreton Bay.
Sandgate State School is located between two Lagoons in the heart of Sandgate Village. The school boasts picturesque grounds with views of Moreton Island and Brisbane City.
We have wonderful facilities including, air conditioned classrooms; a performing arts hall; a heated pool; a vegetable garden; a well resourced 1:1 computer lab and in class ICT facilities; well established music and instrumental programs; along with indoor and outdoor education programs.
About the Role
The role requires you to demonstrate considerable autonomy in ensuring strategic and sustainable business services outcomes for our school and will include managing infrastructure projects. Your contributions will be crucial in the strategic planning and risk management of the school, helping implement initiatives that support the school's Annual Improvement Plan. This part time position offers a supportive and collaborative work environment focussed on quality education and support to students.
**Responsibilities include**:

- Operate autonomously in the provision of business services to the school, in an environment that at times exhibits a degree of complexity and frequently requires the interpretation of information and adaptation of processes.
- Provide a comprehensive range of administrative support (e.g. preparation of reports, and correspondence) and identify problems, conduct research, seek expert advice, recommend solutions.
- Support the Principal with the preparation and administration of the budget, undertaking day to day financial activities (e.g. reviewing school expenditure, managing payroll and purchasing, producing financial reports from OneSchool); seeking external expert financial advice when appropriate; proposing alternatives for managing the school's financial resources; and suggesting courses of action to routine and non-routine financial matters that comply with legislation and policy.
