Learning & Development Officer I Part-time

**About your new opportunity**
The purpose of this role is to develop, implement and continually improve Mad Mex’s practices in line with the company’s visions & values. The Learning and Development Officer (L&D Officer) will assist with the development of training programs, with a focus on e-learning, and Employee communications, and take initiatives to ensure Mad Mex remains at best practice and is an employer of choice.
Assisting in developing a culture of high performance, the L&D Officer will have experience in e-learning platforms and, creating bespoke learning materials, ensuring the LMS is continually updated with engaging and effective training to drive business operations.
The L&D Officer will also assist other departments with training requirements.
This role is office based although travel to restaurants may be required and on occasion, will require interstate and intrastate travel.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**:
- Review, develop and implement training tools and programs.
- Assist in the facilitation of classes for Training programs when applicable
- Assist in the management of the World Manager (El Taco) E-learning platform, including maintaining and enhancing the online learning library
- Create engaging and bespoke content through mediums such as video and digital formats
- Manage the refresh, and ongoing maintenance, of all Recipes, Training, and Build Cards
- Assist other departments with training needs as required
- Visit Mad Mex Restaurants as required and engage with Employees to identify training needs
- Coordinate forecasting for training programs and future trends
- Assist with New Restaurant Openings as required
- Maintain contact with other companies, training organisations, institutions, and associations to monitor new training developments and courses
**QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCES**:
- Min 2 years experience providing learning & development and training support & assistance
- Ability to design and develop training programs across a range of formats
- Demonstrated expertise in developing learning methodologies for self-paced online and blended learning methodologies that achieve agreed learning objectives
- Demonstrated expertise in writing content for self-paced online learning that meets the needs of the learner, training platform, and stakeholders.
- Experience in creating engaging and creative E-Learning modules is essential.
- Experience and knowledge with E-Learning platforms - World Manager preferred
- Experience in facilitating classes, or the ability and desire to learn
- Demonstrated track record in translating ideas and concepts into workable, practical high impact learning solutions;
- Solid experience developing video and other web-based learning, including creating video content for all learning styles
- Knowledge of training methodologies
- Strong organisational skills, the capacity to successfully manage competing priorities, maintain attention to detail, and meet deadlines
- Capacity to work independently with mínimal direction and collaboratively in a team environment
- Demonstrated experience in showing initiative and a proactive approach to all tasks
- Advanced experience with Microsoft Office Programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Demonstrated ability to deal with key stakeholders (both internally & externally) confidently and courteously
- Ability to work with ambiguity in an environment that is undergoing significant change
- Responsive and adaptive with a strong drive for change
- Ability to undertake project work
- Background within restaurant/hospitality ideal
