The Role
- Renewable Energy Sector (solar, wind, battery, hybrid renewables, owners engineer)
- Power Utility Sector (transmission, distribution, substations including primary and secondary design, underground cable)
- Infrastructure Sector (HV & LV reticulation, motor control, process control instrumentation)

Key Responsibilities
- Delivering Primary and/or Secondary Substation designs
- Technical delivery, and client relationship management for all projects
- Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Contributing to bid preparation and providing technical input across other disciplines where needed
- Proactively collaborating with team members, contributors, and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness, and co-ordination of project deliverables

About You
- Relevant Tertiary Qualifications, with a focus in Electrical
- 15+ years Primary and/or Secondary Systems design or drafting experience in Power Utilities, Renewables, and Industrial Projects
- Relevant software experience - AutoCAD, MicroStation, Helios 3D etc.
- Experience with QLD Network Service Providers (desirable)
- Understanding of multi-disciplinary projects drawings and document control and management systems
- Excellent communication skills
