**Role description**:
Due to continued work and commencement of new projects, our Design and Engineering (Urban Development) division is looking for a Principal / Senior Civil Designer to help us ensure project delivery across a range of sectors.

**Role accountabilities**:

- Providing quality delivery of the designs using 12D predominately, some Civil 3D experience will be of benefit;
- Successfully manage, plan, resource and complete assigned modelling projects within agreed budgets and deadlines;
- Assisting the Project Manager in determining the drafting & other design resources required for a project plan including elements suitable for outsourcing;
- Ensuring the production of project documents that are accurate, clear and concise and compliant with best practice and any other quality standards dictated by the nature of the project;
- Resolving complex technical drafting and design issues; and
- Developing and maintaining professional relationships with Project Managers, Design Engineers and drafters within other disciplines.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- Relevant Engineering degree and/ or certifications;
- Experience using various software programs such as AutoCAD, and 12d Synergy.
- Design knowledge in road design, earthworks (steep site experience valued) / grading design and utilities design (water, sewer, drainage).
- Excellent client-focus and a sound technical know-how;
- Ability to develop elements of design from concept sketches to detailed drawings; and
- A high attention to details and ability to deliver quality output within the timeline.
