Security Manager

The Security Manager, as the company’s recognised Security Officer (SO) and Company Information Systems Officer (CISO), you are responsible for ensuring Ultra Maritime complies with the Australian Government requirements for the protection of classified material in accordance with the Defence Security Principles Framework and our obligations as a Defence Industry Security Program member. This requires managing personnel, facility and information system security requirements and ensuring we have appropriate governance systems in place to maintain our posture as a trusted Defence supplier.

Key responsibilities will include:
- Implementing, coordinating, and overseeing all security measures for the protection of classified material under Ultra Maritime control.- Providing security advice to Ultra Maritime management and employees consistent with the Defence Security Protective Framework (DSPF).- Developing, implementing, and reviewing Security Policies, Procedures and Plans, ensuring that they reflect DSPF obligations to ensure the business maintains at least Level 2 DISP Accreditation.- Undertaking security risk assessments as needed to ensure appropriate controls are in place to manage security risks in accordance with the DSPF.- Developing and maintaining a Facility Security Register (FSR) detailing all aspects of classified activities undertaken by Ultra Maritime.- Regularly reviewing the businesses cyber security posture to ensure its relevance in addressing cyber threats.- Performing the role of the IS “System Owner” for all classified IS Systems, ensuring that appropriate plans and procedures are in place for those systems and ensuring the ongoing Accreditation of those systems.- Ensuring the ongoing Accreditation of company facilities including the Zone 5 area.- Maintain oversight of the bilateral security agreements applicable to specific projects ensuring systems, tools, and practices are consistent with those agreements.- Manage communication security (COMSEC) assets, information, and associated activities to ensure ongoing compliance and retention.- Maintaining a current list of security cleared employees in the FSR including nationality, security clearance level and date, any limitations, and any special access approvals. Any changes to this list must be advised to DS&VS (e.g., an employee departing Ultra Maritime etc.).- Ensuring that a current Security Classification and Categorisation Guide (SCCG) is held for each classified project Ultra Maritime is undertaking and ensuring that the SCCG is available to all employees with an appropriate personal security clearance and a need to know.- Liaising with DS&VS representatives, other Australian Government representatives and other SOs.

Do you have...- Demonstrated experience as a Security Manager, or in a similar or related position.- Substantial familiarity with the processes related to the security requirements for company’s contracted to the Australian Defence Organisation.- Knowledge of Electronic Warfare and Australian Security.- Experience working with Australian Department of Defence (DoD) and associated program offices.
